About Me

Windermere Adventure Challenge
Windermere is one of the largest and oldest independent community service organisations in Melbourne. Our innovative support services and programs provide opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our community to build resilience and feel connected. We service the entire Southern Metropolitan region extending to Gippsland and serving a population of over 1.5 million people. One of our fundraising events is the Windermere Adventure Challenge. An Adventure Challenge is a physically demanding fundraising event, either overseas or in Australia, aimed at getting you out of your comfort zone, raising funds for Windermere and having an incredible life-changing experience. This adventure challenge combines cycling around the eighth wonder of the world (Angkor Wat) and all the Temples of Angkor, participating in a 2-day volunteer hands-on project at the New Hope for Cambodian Children HIV orphanage, visiting the sites where communist Khmer Rouge regime rose to power in 1975 and to its fall in 1979 and cycling from the beautiful beach town of Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh. For more information on the challenge contact us at adventurechallenge@windermere.org.au
